When presenting oneself before the Rawdha Mubaarak of Rasulullah (Sallalahu alayhi wa Sallam):
While reciting Durood Shareef ponder that my Nabi alaihis salaam is looking at me when I pass by him and he is listening to me. He knows me, my name, the amount of time I have spent in his effort. He knows me personally.
- When Sahabah (R.A) had a problem they would run to him, look at his beautiful countenance and pour their heart out to him…
I am also here to pour out my feelings to You O my Beloved Nabi…Who else do I talk to about the condition of my heart? The nights you cried for me in this very same room before which I am standing now…
Speak to him like how your little daughter or son begs you and makes a crying face to you.
Pour out your heart to him.
Tell him that you love him…you want him to love you even though you are not worthy of it.
Stand there or sit nearby and whisper to him with closed eyes. Describe his beauty and feel the connection.
Don’t delay to make Salaam. Go as soon as possible. A father waits for his son when he comes to his home town
Make Salaam without a Kitaab.
The shortest Durood is:
“Wa Sallalahu alan Nabiyyil ummi”
Continue reciting as much as possible:
“As Salaatu was Salaamu alayka Ya Rasulallah”
- Ponder over the following:
I am going to present myself to my Nabi (alayhis Salaam). He knows me.
Stand before him like a beggar. Ask for maafi and make your pledge.
I am going to make Ma’zirat : To present my case and excuses. To apologise for my weakness.
I did not make the purpose of his life the purpose of mine.
I spoilt everything…I got Izzat and Honour through the Musalla and Imaamat which he gave to me, through the Quran Shareef that he brought, through the Bayaans of his Ahaadith, through his Effort of Deen.
Ask Nabi alaihis salaam to cast one Nazr (glance) of Shafqat and Love towards you.
Giants of Kufr came to his city with kufr and they knew they will get something from him…
A Sahabi tugged on his shawl and he gave it to him…
Khalid bin Waleed, Amr bin Al Aas, Zaid bin Dathina, Thumaama bin Uthaal (Radhiyallahu anhum)…
Khalid bin Waleed (R.A) came after hurting you so much.
Wahshi (R.A) came after causing pain to your beautiful heart.
You showered them with your Nazr of Love and Compassion!
I haven’t come with kufr…I know I will get…You are Rahmatul lil Aalameen.
I also have come with Tamanna and Hope because I have heard about you, about your mercy, about your compassion, about your softness..Nobody returns from your court empty handed!
Sahaba (Radhiyallahu anhum) knew they had your shoulder to cry upon anytime of day or night. They would come to you and pour their heart out and you would console them.
A Sahabi came to ask for permission to make zina: You placed your beloved hand on his chest and made dua for him:
“O Allah purify his heart and keep him chaste.”
He was never inclined to zina again.
A Sahabiya complained to you of her husband divorcing her using words of Jaahiliya: The first verses of the 28th Juz were revealed that Allah Ta’ala had heard her..
Therefore I have come to you to complain about my plight and the plight of the Ummah.
